Roscoe McGee

Roscoe McGee

Art Director, Animator and Cartoon Connoisseur

Backstory:

Roscoe is originally from the snowy peaks of West Jordan, Utah (a place he still loves and goes back to every summer to avoid melting in the Texas heat). A lifelong lover of animation and creativity, he studied at advertising at Brigham Young University, where he was a member of the schools renowned advertising program, the BYU AdLab.

After graduating, Roscoe worked remotely at 360i and Zeno Group PR, finally moving to Dallas to join the Lerma Agency in 2022. He joined Plot Twist in June of 2026. He is a father of two daughters, who he is busy turning into animation fans like him.

Professional Not-So-Humble Brags:

Roscoe once tricked his boss into letting him use company time and resources to choreograph, perform, and film a music video with his friends. He then used AI to transform the music video into an animated cartoon and used it to win no less than three Addy Awards for the Agency.

He also created an Addy winning Out-Of-Home placement for Times Square during New Years Eve (talk about a lot of media impressions).

Interesting Cocktail Party Tidbits:

Roscoe traveled to China to perform with the BYU International Folk Dance Troupe. He is accomplished in several cultural dances including the Ukrainian Hopak, American Clogging, and the Indian Bhangra.

He is an obsessive watcher of Japanese anime and manga. His favorite series include Delicious in Dungeon, Frieren, DanDaDan, and Cowboy Beebop.

On top of all that, he also speaks Spanish, has dabbled in V Tubing, making comics, and illustrating children’s books.

Best plot twist (so far):

After failing to get into the BYU Animation program, Roscoe gave up his dream of becoming an animator. However, while working an incredibly boring desk job at the campus library, he accidentally taught himself how to animate anyway and went on to become a professional animator.
